The Life of a man is as short as the dash between two dates/years as inscribed on a tombstone. It is rather unfortunate that in the fewness of the years of man, man continues to wallow in pride, ergo, hate, jealousy, envy, strife, war and other forms of unrest as though their life has no span.
Life they say is a race, which is either you lose or you win.
What is life?
Life is a place where birth and death takes place. Life is a universe where you find both the good and bad, proud and humble, wicked and kind. Life is a place where you meet people who teaches you the basics of the world either in the right way or in the wrong way.

Life started from creation, we can see it that God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and the man became a living being. God started the life we are living today right from creation with the first man (Adam).

Why then do we make life look miserable for others?
Why then have we decided to make the life we live hell?
What is life?
Life is a universal base where you meet different people from different race, in different complexion, with different characters and ways of thinking. It is actually a place where you meet people who teaches you the basics of the world either in the right way or in the wrong way. We have come to the reality that death they say is no respecter of anybody be it young or old, man or boy, girl or woman, fair or black, ugly or beautiful. It comes anytime to pick who or whom it’s in need of.
Why then do you make it look like you own it?
Why then do you make it look like you bought it or it’s in the tip of your finger and you know when it comes knocking?
Your money, fame, prestige wealth, riches can’t buy and won’t buy life.
Maybe you look healthy and you have all it takes to live life on earth, just want to urge you with this write up, pray and do whatsoever you are to do now and stop being proud of what you don’t own. There is a saying that goes this way:
When there is life, there is hope.
Have you ever bothered why it is so?
Now let me say it this way, the day you stop living that is the day you stop seeing the future and you lost hope of becoming whatsoever you ever wished you will become. It however means that you are not and will not be the custodian of your life or anybody life.
We all came alone no matter if you came out as twins, we are here on a different purpose and we would go alone to the grave without going with anything. So life as a goal must be lived to the fullest.
You can only live it to the fullest if you learn to appreciate any situation you find yourself in, because the scripture says in all circumstances give thanks. Why should you be worried about your life, when you cannot even add a single hour to your life or strand of hair to your hair or even add height to yourself?
Don’t let life push you to the wall, you have no course to let life push you around like a “Piece of rag” instead, stand and command it to give way to you because all power as being given to you through your father. Live your life like there is no tomorrow, no wonder the Psalmist said in Psalm 39: 4-6:
“Show me, o Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life...”
This was a prayer of a man who understood the shortness of life and sought of a way to live out maximally so as to fulfill the essence pf his coming. We all have a defined and named span of time to live. Our life was scripted it didn't just be. The psalmist went on to say:
“You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you”.
Here, we see that the writer was conscious that he did not create his life and the creator could request for it at any time because it is a privilege that he is living. He continued:
“Man is a mere phantom as he goes to and fro: He bustles about, but only in vain, he heaps up wealth, not knowing who will get it.”
How are you living your life? Are you still living a reckless life thinking by the next year or month I will live a better life? If a man who are made to understand that he is a man after God’s heart could be conscious about this, how much more us who have or are yet to start living our life for the owner of the life?
We all have to live our life in the right way, so that when you are gone, you would be remembered by what you have done. It is in our duty to make people around us see reasons to desire to be like us. It is in our duty that when we are finally gone people would not rejoice that they are now free from bondage.
Look at Dorcas when she was gone, the tears of the people she helped while she was alive, made God in His mercy bring her back to life. What would people say about you when you are gone, what would people cry out to God telling Him you’ve done and the reasons you should not go, because there is no body to stand in the gap when you are gone.
Life is not a competition with anybody but a competition with yourself to be better than who you where yesterday.
Living your life, don’t forget to do unto others what you want them to do to you. What is the blue print you’ve left for the poor, needy, hopeless, and fatherless to remember for? Or do you want to be like the greedy man in the Luke 12:19-21, who after storing everything, he said to himself
“You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry. But God said to him, “You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?
Live your life and don’t forget to live it for the creator because He owns your life and it’s a privilege that He gave it to you
Don't you ever useless it the little time you are on earth because we are but a sojourner, but to make it worthwhile or meaningful not to yourself alone but to others that comes your way because only with that you will be remembered for.
Live your life like you borrowed it and will have to return it back to the owner, you have what it takes to help, help and don’t procrastinate.
Don’t store wealth all for yourself because you never can tell when you are gone who would come and enjoy that wealth. You may be storing up those wealth for your children, you are right but who knows just maybe they may never be in need of such things, and then it will be used by unknown people, or that same people you refused to help while you were alive.
Don’t live life like it is long, but be like the psalmist and do the things that are worth doing while you are alive. Touch life for that is what you will be remembered for. Live your life with Jesus Christ as the author and the finisher of your faith. Remember only him have the keys to your life. Remember to do good always because the life you live was never yours.
Don’t try to compete with anybody because we all came here with different purpose and different goals. In life, kindness in thinking creates wisdom, kindness in words creates confidence, and kindness in feelings creates love. Love always for it is the God’s greatest commission. Live your life and be conscious for you are only a sojourner who would one day live this place for another place.
Don’t relent on any human because they would one day fail you, the only one you are to put hope on is the creator of life, the one who makes it a blessing to be living, the one who sees you as an important person and wouldn’t want your life to be miserable after this life but would want you to have eternal life.
Who says you cannot make it when you still have life? He is the reason you are still living your life so live it for him. Run this race of your life without trampling on people but making Christ go with you all through the race and see Him mould your life to become the shape e wants it to be like.
Live your life for Christ.
Live is nothing without the saviour.
Life is nothing without being connected to the source.
Life without value is a life of tears
Life without knowledge of its span is a life of tears.
