An Iconic Venue in an Iconic City

The unmistakable Piccadilly Circus on this pleasant Sunday evening. A few months back, it looked more like a work-in-progress building site than the tourist attraction you'd normal associate it with. That was mainly due to the refurbishment of the overhead giant screen to a super hi-resolution centrepiece. The transformational change was welcomed by all.

I spent many of my teenager years up in these parts, hanging around and doing what youths do. Friday evening would come around, my mates always turned up at the front door around 8pm and we'd all jump in the car, soon to be speeding towards where all the action was taking place. The time we would disband was late morning the next day. The infinite energy I had back then! Those were the days, lol.

Now, it'd be an effort just to get to the damn place! But that's exactly what myself and the missus did. There are so many different things to see here that one wouldn't even need to book anything specifically. The walkways are chock full of street art performers, talented painters and a bustling atmosphere and vibrancy all round. Oh yeah, I do love life in this amazing city. :)
