Finally, The Trailer We've All Been Waiting For!
Well, here you have it, ladies and gentlemen. The final trailer linked here to the final movie of this current trilogy of Star Wars, has arrived. Because let's not beat about the bush here. This universe has hundreds more stories to tell over time. The franchise is simply way to big and Disney are just getting started.
The title of Episode IX has been unveiled as "The Rise of Skywalker". Befitting now as it seems painfully obvious who Rey's family is now. At least, I think it does, lol! You never can tell these days. I'm a huge fan of the franchise so this is something I've been waiting on for many months. Was I disappointed with the new trailer? Well, no. But then again, just show me the timeless logo against that starry background and I'm already sold.
We see a fully trained Rey seemingly being attacked by an enemy ship. However, she swiftly leaps into the air whilst narrowly missing it. Just a small glimpse as to the powers she now has. After which the bulk of the rest of the trailer begins. We see a slew of familiar faces ranging from C-3P0 to Chewbacca. Although the one I was most happiest about seeing was Lando, whose role was once more reprised by none other than Billy Dee Williams. I actually met him at the London Comic Con about 2 years ago and he's most definitely still got the old magic in him!
But maybe most interesting of all is the ending. We get our band of rebels looking out over a thrashing sea at the remnants of the fallen "Death Star", after which we get the famous cackling of the Emperor from the original movies. There are so many questions that are put to us and I can't wait to find out how they will be answered. So you think it will be any good then? Well, we have J. J. Abrams back at the helm after the lukewarm response to The Last Jedi. I'm super stoked about this call as he's a proven master at his craft and could be the best person to wrap up all the story lines nicely.
Only about 8 months to go, guys. And don't worry, it'll be on general release before you know it... :)
Wow man they do a great job of giving us FOMO without revealing anything about the movie :D I'm a bit curious why they call it "Rise of Skywalker" if it is the last movie allegedly...? Seems like by default there can't bee too much rising if it's the last one. Just my thoughts lol... Now I have something to look forward to next winter!
This definitely ain't the last one, my friend. If anything, it's just the beginning. :)
That laugh though! Has me so intrigued and geared up! What a year for the entertainment industry!

This is their last chance to redeem the sequels, and I think they are gonna bring Luke back (suggested in the title), which is a step in the right direction, maybe make Rey lose people, so she don't appear to be a mary sue anymore.
