this past weekend was a really magical one for me...

In june I got married but just with the close family in Switzerland and it was a really nice and memorable day but last weekend will be burned into my memories for ever. We had invited all our friends and family to celebrate with us in the Austrian mountains for the big wedding party. Since we are both not the most religious people in the world we decided to go with a free speaker (the lady on the left)
What really took me by surprise (and I had to swallow down some tears here) was the part of the ceremony when there was a ribbon that was passed through all the guests that were seated in front of us that started with the best man on one side and ended with the maid of honour on the other. Then our rings were put on this ribbon and passed from guest to guest. They were asked to shortly bless the rings / make a silent wish or just put some positive energy before passing it to their neighbour. That was the way the rings wove their path along the ribbon through all those near and dear to us being blessed before coming our way again.
When we then gave our rings to each other in the next part of the ceremony I could swear they were tingling with positive energy.

But this was really a rollercoaster of emotions that shook me.

I had really underestimated what it would feel like to have all our closest friends and family there when we reconfirmed our love for each other.

We arrived on Thursday and left on Monday after four days of really watching everyone mix and mingle and have a great time.
When you set out to do something and even the weather gods agree that you deserve sunshine and blue skies then who am I to stand in the way.

but what is most of all that once everything was underway, we did what we wrote on this sign here above all those weeks ago during the preparations.

I will leave you with some images of the region in which we spent our time and will leave out the images of our amazing party after the ceremony because those are not all for public consumption :-)
