It’s yet another brand new day, and a new week, for us all to start the day with some great zeal of energy, and strength. To give out the best of us in all we do. And as a wise man once said, the enemy outside is not as greater as the enemy within: So we must be on our guard all times and expect to face challenges at all times.

Well, yesterday got me to know and to digest a lot into the concept of Pan Africanism. For some time now I have being hearing this words and I never for once paid attention to it, until one of these pageantry shows got me to learn more of it. After studying and reading the odds around this whole concept of Pan Africanism, I must say it’s a movement that everyone of African descent is to embrace it.

According to Wikipedia, Pan-Africanism is a worldwide movement that aims to encourage and strengthen bonds of solidarity between all indigenous and diasporain ethnic groups of African descent. The concept is not here to remind you and I about the pains and suffering our forefathers went through, but it is here to tell our fellow descendants that, there is no place like home and that for once in a while they are to visit their roots, to know how their people use to live in terms of culture.

We are not to live in tears and repents of our forefathers. Since our continent was on the verge with perpetrators such as the Portuguese, the Spanish, the Dutch, the British and the Americans. They struggled for our continents like an angry bull. Which made a great of our people have reach unknown destinations: A Journey of no returns. Those who could not make it were thrown overboard. But, now it is a journey of returns, another chance to come back to your origin at least once in a while, to breathe in the air of freedom. The very air of your ancestral home.

Some icons who fought over slavery, racism and colonialism, And those who brought the concept were Herny Sylvester-Williams, Edward Wilmot Blyden, among other grass roots of the river Niger to the diaspora world W. E. B. Du Bois , Marcus Garvey, Martin Luther King Junior, and Malcolm X. Haile Selassie, Kwame Nkrumah, Muammar Gaddafi among others were the advocate of Pan-Africanism.

The year 1897, made Pan-Africanism to see the lights of becoming a worldwide movement, which aided to in vive and uplift all people of African descent. And that matter, I strongly believe in Pan-Africanism: The new Africa. We are ready to fight for our own battles. The old say that “The Blackman is not capable of managing his own affairs” is in the past, and now I say to you The new Africa has given rise to a new generation and we say “The Blackman is capable (and by that he is very capable) of managing his own affairs. Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah is an example to live by for my country.

We as Blacks need to believe in ourselves, and note that, We are not what others say, but through our culture and traditions we see in our self to outstand and remind us to uplift the flag of Pan-Africanism.

Together we stand, divided we fall and a word to the wise is always enough.
