Hi Friends....Hope you all have heard about this tangy fruit called Tamarind!! Today here I am with these beautiful pics of a Tamarind tree, which is one of our kitchen essentials, mainly in India!

Tamarind belongs to the 'Fabaceae' family and it's scientific name is 'Tamarindus Indica'... It's a bushy tree with evergreen tiny leaves and the fruit develops in pods with long brown shells. Inside is a sticky, juicy pulp in golden-brown color and a sweet and sour taste!!
