Dealing with people who are messy

It is sometimes the worst of nightmares to deal with some people who have some unhealthy habits that really annoy you. No matter what you do to make them change, they just don't. They do the same thing over and over again no matter what you say. It is even worst when you have to stay under the same roof with such people. It is never an easy thing to exercise patience in dealing with such people.

I cannot believe how you have to talk over and over again about the same thing yet, you see no efforts being implemented towards change or something. You talk amd talk but they only do thesame thing. They make you feel like all your efforts to help them to change is a waste. Sometimes, one tries to just ignore them and let them to do whatever they want to do but how can you do that when it is affecting you too and the danger that habit poses to them in the near future.

I don't even know which part is worse. Is it the fact that you have to watch them every day do thesame wrong thing or the fact that they expect you to just clean up their mess without complaining everytime. It is so annoying and handling this kind of thing is no joke at all. Given the fact that the people in question are older than yourself and you don't want to disrespect them in any way. It is a pretty tight situation to be in if you ask me.

What do you propose can be done in such situations? What is the best way to go about it?
