Reviving the Silk Road
Logistics connect the people in whole history. According to improvement of logistics area and tools long distances and cultures react each other. In the past silk road and Spice route were very important for transport all Asian Tecnology and wealths to Europe. Middle Age time Asia's countries are more developed from European's after new age begans Europe's countries became more developed . But still India Japan and China are important countries for world. After discoviring new routes in Maritimes and new continents Silk road lost its importance.
today espically Old USSR railways and opening Suez Canal helps new marina routes and develops the navy transportion.But Mid Way has more advantages than other routes because it is more short and economic.So this project first tried to make by germans. and for first step they built Berlin to Baghdad.After losing II world War it stopped. Today new tecnology opens this project again.
so what we need now. The marmara sea and Caspian Sea are gaps. Building MARMARAY project will help the reach Europe part of Turkey.Also building new railway from Baku port to Kars will connect Asia to Europe.Also new navy transportation makes Izmir Trabzon and İskenderun ports more important. For Air transportation new airport inIstanbul will be new transit Airfield for Europe and Asia instead of Dubai.
Awesome... one of my favorite stories as a child was that of Marco Polo and his travels to the Far East!
Interesting information... I would be curious how this effects the economy in these areas.
I think two countries will be more beneficial in this project.Asia part is China and as a bridge Turkey. But Germany is also interested at this project.
