Why do people go into marriage?

I got married because I was in love, liked the person, had a lot of fun with them and I thought I would be married forever. People get married for many different reasons. Some do it strategically to get ahead, others don't like being alone, and still others get married to make other people happy. There is no right or wrong about it, and I look back on my 7 years now, seven years after I got divorced as one of the biggest learning experiences of my life. Probably one of the reasons I may never get married again! :)
