If we admit our mistakes, then we feel that it's not the end of the world. It is not the end of anything but the beginning of relief. It is easier to admit we are wrong than to defend something wrong by telling more lies to make it appear to be right. We are not less intelligent if we admit our mistakes, be it an idea, a story, a proposition, a fact or detail.

We find it easier to make excuses than to let other people know we are wrong. When we say something and someone notices that our facts are changed or twisted, and that someone tells us so, our immediate reaction is to try prove ourselves right. Even when we come to realize we are wrong, we do not want to be embarrassed so we start to insist on our own ideas.

This is the reality ...

• Admitting we are wrong is not an admission of weaknesses. On the contrary, it;s a strength that makes us admirable on which people will become supportive than reactive to us.

• Admitting we're wrong does not makes less human but is an indication that we're indeed like everyone else, not perfect, only, we are a bit more honest and courageous. It is an act that is more meritorious than making excuses for our mistakes.

On the other hand, we do not become a better person by putting the blame on others. By the time we recognize that it is our fault, we are one step closer to correcting ourselves and providing solutions. Let us choose to admit our mistakes and we will see people will support us in correcting what has to be changed. If we don't admit our mistakes, we become worse. We do not provide an avenue for improvement.
