Was Any One Born Empty?
There is this proverb or popular saying that says empty vessels make the loudest noise but thinking so deeply, I am a bit disturbed to ask if any one was born empty? The answer I believe should be No!. No one was born empty but why then are some people regarded as being empty vessels?
Every one born of a woman in this life is made up of great ability and with high potential of doing so well in life. No one was created deliberately by God to be a nobody in life or to be relegated to the ground. But then what a person does with his or her life will determine if the person is an empty vessel or not. What a person does or fails to do will determine if a person is empty.
In my little understanding, I can say that empty vessels are those who do nothing reasonable to improve on the state of their lives and that of others around them. Empty vessels can be regarded as those who have no value to add to the society they find themselves in but are rather diminishing the available resources in the society.
Have you ever wandered why some people speak and the world stands still while others speak and everyone behave as though no words were spoken? The difference is that one is a voice while the other is a noise.
The world is too busy to listen to noise makers but will pay attention when a voice is speaking because such a one has some value to add. Those who are voices don't talk always but only talk when they have something to impart into others.
My friend, we got to improve on our God's given ability so that we can be regarded as a voice and not empty vessels that make the loudest noise.
Thank you @inspiredgideon1 for your insightful post. I think there are some bad seeds in this World that were born that way. Serial killers and psychopaths come to mind.
But most born do have the opportunity to be either a "Voice" or "Noise". Just as you say.
