What do you when you're depressed/sad to relieve yourself of all the negative thoughts going through your mind?

Depression is a mental illness that needs attention. There is no shortcut to be depression-free, however, there are something you can do to minimize attacks. Trying out different treatments at times won't help, likewise, antidepressants can have side effects.

Here are some things you can try out to feel relief at some point.

* Healthy foods- There are foods that can help neutralize your serotonin levels, an essential chemical in regulating moods, as well as behaviors. Try foods rich in Vitamin B, D, Omega-3, and others.

* Exercise- This is important because it can help boost positivity to our brain.

* Sunshine- Have a dose of sunshine. It can somehow affect your mood positively.

* Go to the doctor. It doesn't always mean you will undergo treatments available or antidepressants. You need to consult the doctor for advise which food supplements will work for your condition.

* Expose yourself to nature- The calmness of nature can give at least peace within you.

* Good amount of sleep- Lack of sleep can affect one's mood. So spend about 7-9 hours of sleep. Afterwards, you will notice some improvements.

* Reflexology- I do reflex the pressure points in my hand and it helps.

I try my best to do these things to feel relieved.

why people go in depression?In this worlds are many people very poor and not go in depression .Look at Nairobi and Uganda they live with only 1$ daily ad not have any depression.Money come with depression?????Hehe.Bee poor and not have depression.

How I wish this could've been rational. Depression is a mental illness. It can be acquired with different factors which includes genetics. I hope you will research more about depression. Again, depression is a mental illness. It's not merely a state of emotion.

yes, I know.But it is better when you are in depression found the problem and take the life how it is. Life is short and not have time for down in depression. When you fill is in depression go at the mountain, go walking, make friends what are happy.
