Inspirational Message: To You Who Was Left With So Many Questions

in #life6 years ago

"It's not you, it's me."

That's the famous line of the people who broke up with their significant others. They won't blame you to avoid adding salt to your already wounded heart. They would just own their mistakes and blame themselves for falling out of love or for loving someone else while on a relationship with you. As if that would make you feel better. I know how you felt after he said those words. You felt shattered and confused at the same time. You had so many questions inside your mind that you can't even begin to answer.

What have you done?

Were you not enough?

Did he found someone better than you?

Did he feel suffocated by your relationship?

Did you lack on something or have you been too much on everything?

The questions keep going longer and longer until you can't cound them anymore. All of them were left unanswered. You can only have your suspicions and theories as to why he fell out love for you. These unanswered questions has been bothering you for quite some time now. You think that until you get the answers, you wouldn't find the closure that you need. But that is not true. You don't really need to get the answers of your questions. Why? Because it wouldn't make a difference. The fact that he hurt you and left you remains intact whether he answers your questions or not.

Stop asking questions. Stop seekings for answers. If you need closure, then you need to accept that your relationship has ended. Start by feeling the pain until it no longer hurts. Cry, do all the things that brokenhearted people normally do. Then when you feel better, get up. I believe that's the right process. Because if you confront him and ask him questions, it would only make things more complicated. The more he answers your questions, the longer the moving on process would be. Why? Because it would only lead to more and more questions until it becomes endless. Why waste your time and energy on seeking for answes that wouldn't change anything?

Don't dwell on it for too long. Stop blaming yourself. Your relationship has ended but you don't necessarily have to take it negatively. Think of it as another lesson that you can use on your next relationship. The more you get heart broken, the stronger and wiser you become. Take it positively.

So, to you who's been left with unanswered questions, you only need one answer:

You are worth the best kind of love anyone can offer. Those who couldn't give you that kind of love doesn't deserve you. Reserve the valuable slots in your heart to the people who truly deserves it.
