The Disaster Artist. A fantastic look at a fabulously bad movie.

If you're a movie fan like I am, chances are good that you've heard of The Disaster Artist.

Starring James Franco and his younger brother Dave Franco, The Disaster Artist is a bold and innovative look at the lives of two men and the movie that they produced.

That movie is called The Room and it is widely believed to be the best worst movie ever made.

First of all, The Disaster Artist is actually based on a book called The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, the Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made.

This book was written by Greg Sestero and Tom Bissell.

The real story though, is about a man named Tommy Wiseau.

It is a true story.

While taking an acting class, shy Greg meets boisterous and confident Tommy.

Being immediately taken by the man's outgoing persona, Greg finds himself becoming fast friends with the man despite the fact that he is quite weird and out of sorts with the normal world around him.

Tommy Wiseau has loads of money. This becomes obvious soon after to start hanging out. They both want to become actors, so they agree to move to Los Angeles where Tommy is renting a nice apartment even though he hasn't been there in years.

Tommy is considered by many to look and talk like a villain. He has a thick Eastern European accent despite the fact that he claims to be from America. He also claims to be 19 years old despite the fact that he looks about 20 years older than that. No one has ever discovered how old he actually is.

After both men have several failed attempts at becoming actors, they decide to just go ahead and make their own movie.

They are able to do this because Tommy has an incredibly large amount of money. No one has ever discovered exactly how much money that is or where any of it came from.

Pretty creepy right?

It should be mentioned that Tommy Wiseau looks an awful lot like Dracula. I'm obviously not the only one to think that because someone else in the movie actually mentions it as well.

Tommy writes a script about betrayal and calls it The Room.

It is thought that the movie cost Tommy about six million dollars to make.

The movie made $1800 on it's opening weekend.

I've never actually seen The Room but after seeing this movie I am very interested in seeking it out.

The Disaster Artist is an incredible look at two interesting men and the fascinating movie that they created.

Tommy Wiseau is simply a puzzle waiting to be solved.

The directing of the movie is one of the most interesting parts. Tommy directed, produced, and starred in it. He appears to have no idea of how human emotions work. Therefore, the movie becomes incredibly strange in almost every part.

A man of untold age with unlimited money that looks exactly like Dracula and doesn't understand human emotions at all. Is this man not a vampire?

I don't know, but I can tell you this much....

The Disaster Artist is awesome and you should definitely check it out.
