What job should we be looking for now that the crypto market is tanking?

The crypto market is tanking. That sucks in a lot of different ways. One of the ways that sucks is that it means some of us are going to have to get a job.

So what job should a blogger get that has been used to posting articles and pictures all day long while sitting on their butt on a computer?

Book editor? Newspaper article writer? Get real.

Here's a list of a few jobs people with no real experience can get that can actually earn a decent wage.

1 - The restaurant gig. This is what I do. You make pretty good money but this is also the only job I can think of on the entire planet where you can go to work, work for 4 hours, and come home with no money at all because you didn't make any tips. It doesn't happen all the time though.

2 - Working with computers. I think just about anybody can get a Helpdesk gig. This usually earns about $15 an hour. You might need a little bit of college experience and you definitely need to be good with computers. Most of us here should be able to pull it off.

3 - Telemarketing. I think they're earning something like $14 an hour now. You have to deal with a lot of people that you don't really want to talk to, and you also have to understand that nobody wants to talk to you. It's not a fun job but it does earn money.

4 - Teaching. You're going to need your bachelor's degree if you want to become a teacher, and you also need a certificate and a few other things. However, teachers are earning pretty good money around here. Just be careful because you might not get the exact field you are looking for. There are a lot of special education teachers that are needed around these parts. Not my gig.

5 - Working in a warehouse. You can always find a job working in a warehouse. You might be putting shipping labels on different packages here and there. You might be unloading trucks, and you might be putting different products on a delivery line.

Last but not least, if none of the above work you can always get a job in fast food. For the most part you're going to find that these only pay minimum wage, which is much less than the above five jobs. However, you won't need any experience at all and chances are good that while they will be very busy jobs you won't have to think very much.

Can you think of any other jobs that are a good idea to get involved with while the crypto market is tanking?

I would love to hear about them.

All we need is one of us to get a job as a miracle worker and be good at what they do. 😃

Otherwise, there's always Home Depot.

WalMart Greeters, Santa Gigs, Ringing the Bell during the Holiday Season at the mall.

Laborers for construction, Office skills could work for receptionist or Admin Assistant positions.

Those are all good ones especially the Walmart greeter and Santa gig.

I didn’t know what it was like earning a bunch of money from bitcoin. I don’t know if you do, but it seems like you’ve got some stake in it at least. Your first two suggestions made me laugh, because they’re pretty much the only two things I’ve been doing. Working in the restaurant takes up most of my time. Computer science is the side hustle that I think could make a difference in the future. This post could be insightful for many people distraught after the crash, resteeming for this purpose. Best of luck in your kitchen, wishing you the best :)

Say what you will about a restaurant gig it definitely earns money. I was a systems analyst for more than 10 years but I can't say I loved that job. To tell you the truth I think I prefer working in a restaurant. I tried to get a job teaching ESL, having gone back to school to learn it and having spent about two years of my life speaking nothing but Spanish, but they only wanted to hire special education teachers and special education teachers assistants. It's pretty frustrating.

Still, we do what we can do.

Anyone who has enough tech-smarts to install a game mod or setup a dual boot Linux/Windows computer has enough skills to make pretty good money right away and the promise of a decent career future.

I'd look into installing and programming HVAC systems. A lot of the guys who do that kind of work don't like to read the manuals, so they don't really know how to set up the electronics right. They would love it if they could hire someone to do that stuff for them.

The problem is often with other factors, like being 100% reliable and never failing a drug test.

In theory, but it's also tough job market. Different areas are hiring for different positions and we tend to get situated in a certain spot that makes it difficult to leave. I think I might be in a bad area for teaching. It might be possible that I could do better moving cities or even states but it's awfully hard when everyone I know is here.

I hear you can buy some really cheap property in Tennessee and I haven't precluded that possibility.

Having a cheap place to live is great if you can find work there.
