What makes some people so easy to get along with?

Have you ever met somebody that you just clicked with?

You know, the kind of person that you want to walk up to and tell them about what's going on in your life even though you barely know them.

I've met quite a few people like this in my life.

One of those people is a manager at my restaurant. No matter what's going on, he always has an ear that is willing to listen.

I think that has a lot to do with being easy to get along with.

Time is the one thing that no one can ever get more of.

Sure, you can eat healthier, you can exercise and do various activities that you think are going to extend your life, but no one can say for sure that anyone can ever gain more time.

Listening is such an interesting thing. How many hours have you spent on the phone with an ex-lover just listening to them talk.?

Those might have been good times, but you also might be thinking those were hours that you're never going to get back.

I've met quite a few people that just want to talk and don't want to listen. If you go on a dating site you will find quite a lot of different people that are looking for good listeners.

That's because people love to talk about themselves, and good listeners are hard to find.

So I think the main thing that makes people easy to get along with is the ability to listen.

Another good quality that makes people easy to get along with is that they don't complain about things that are going wrong. Each of us has various issues that we go through, but there's no need to talk about those issues.

Most issues go away.

I know a couple of people that will tell me that they stub their toe for the entire day if they do it in the morning. They might stub their toe at 10:00 a.m. and then tell me about it at 12:00, 4:00, 8:00, and 10:00 even though the pain has long gone.

I guess you could call these people complainers. Nobody really likes to be around a complainer for very long.

Generosity is probably another thing that I would think of to add to this list. People that are generous are always good to share company with. I'm not necessarily talking about money either.

Generosity is a personality trait. Some people are generous with their time. Some people are generous with their money. Some people are generous with whatever they happen to have like donuts, coffee, soda, or anything else.

What I mean to say is that they aren't selfish. They want everyone else to have as good a time as they are having.

There are quite a few things that make people easy to get along with.... but my opinion those are the top three.
