Smokin’ Sidepork to make Bacon Jerky

Blackberry Ice Cream

Same Time
The last batch of Blackberry Ice Cream didn’t turn out but I have a good feeling about this one.
A little lick of the stir spoon is a sure way to predict the outcome.
Fresh Blackberries from the garden, well there were some that were frozen but half of them were fresh picked by yours truly this morning. Overall I bet there is a 1 gallon Zip lock bag worth of blackberries in this batch of ice cream.

Sorry neighbors but I’m making a bunch of Bacon Jerky.
I’ve got the Little Chief Smokin’ things up
And the Green Mountain is donating it’s portion to the Smoke Show
So far the Bacon Jerky is looking pretty tasty. I’m not sure how long it has been goin exactly but it has been in there all night
Maybe just a few more hours and I will pull them off and let them cool and see how this Bacon Jerky turns out.

What kind of roof is that in the background?
It was originally just 2x4’s but I don’t get that. Why even put anything over the top. So it is just like the tin roof but only plastic with a slight tint. I should have got a darker tint but it keeps the patio dry and can hold 2 feet of snow on it. Lol
I can get that at hdepot? Man thats pretty cool. This would be perfect on the setup i want. Maybe slightly tinted, i still want to see the light lol.
Ya that is where I got it. The darker tinted one seemed too dark at first but now that we installed the lighter tinted ones we wish we would have gone darker. Plus we put 2 clear panels to offset the tint a little bit.
If I were to do it again I would go with the dark tint then use a couple light tinted ones to give you more light.

So we don't know how the icecream came out? I always have those same thoughts when i smoke haha, sorry neighbors. Bet its nice and smelly w bacon 😜.
Dude the Ice Cream Turned out AMAZING!!!
It only took like an hour and a half and it was done. Thick and creamy with tons of blackberry flavor.
YES AND YES to that blackberry ice cream made out of your own blackberry Bush. So cool, kind of spoiled but so cool :)
I think it’s awesome all of the cool stuff your family does together. Keep it up, you’re an inspiration to many.
I put half frozen and half freshly picked blackberries in there. It turned out amazing and biting into a whole blackberry once in a while was an awesome treat.
My niece @glowy-cloey said it was the best ice cream she had ever had.
