Days before the celebration of the World Cup in my country *VENEZUELA*
Venezuela has never managed to qualify a team for the World Cup, but has always celebrated this party as the whole universe: a great moment. The prelude to the great universal event was always important and from the beginning of the year, in every game, the atmosphere was saturated with the color, flavor and aroma of world football.
To few days of celebration of the beginning of the world cup in Russia, in the streets of Venezuela not breathe the air that enveloped the Venezuelans near to the great world soccer championship. The sports stores do not exhibit the costumes, nor allusive souvenirs, and in the cafes and restaurants the theme of the conversation is not the World Cup. It talks about other things.
Although Venezuela has not taken their team to a World Cup, each Venezuelan identified with a team and took pains to demonstrate their favoritism. "Dressing in the shirt of the preferred team was one of those ways of showing that he was motivated with the fever of the World Cup".
It is unfortunate that the current situation affects all Venezuelans, those who always waited every 4 years to enjoy the joy of the world soccer championship.

I live in Austria and despite we aren't have the best football teams football is really huge in my country. Literally everybody can play football and it is often played in parks.
I for myself aren't a real huge football fan but my flatmate is a diehard football fan so I'm quite informed all the time. ;)
