#LivingElSalvador. Our PARROTS Enjoying Being Out of the Cage on Our Lime Tree Adapting Daily to Freedom.

Happy Tuesday, all my awesome friends. Hope you are enjoying your day.
I wanted to share with you a short video of our Perrots which are enjoying playing around on our Lime tree which is located in the chickens fenced section since we have a dog who would love to kill all the birds, so we have to keep them separate.


One day I was looking at our birds hanging on the cage on the tree and I thought to myself, how sad it is for the birds to be kept in the cage when they are made for flying and being free and these poor birds are locked in the cage, even though it is a big cage, but still they can't stretch out their wings and fly around which is their nature and that is why they have wings.
Sure we feed them and give them water and show them love, but their true nature is flying and being free.


No bird should be kept in the cage just for our enjoyment, since I think it is cruel to do that, it's almost like having a dog on a very short leash all the time and never let him walk and run around, it is cruel. If anyone is a bird lover and wants to have a bird they should not be kept in a cage or they can but they should be able go out the cage anytime and stretch their wings and fly. That is why the birds have wings.
So we are slowly trying to adapt the birds into their nature and freedom, but because they were in the cage for so long, they might not be ready and actually don't really want to get out of the cage so we have to take them out and put them in the safe zone, from our dog.



So with small steps we let the parrots out on the lime tree to get used to it and start looking for their own food and water and maybe one day they will fly away into freedom, but if they decide to stay that would be also wonderful but as long as they are free and can fly like they are meant to be, I am a happy lady.

    I really like your parrots @joalvarez and love what you said about animals in small spaces for our entertainment being cruel as its so true, they should have the right to space, its their world also.

        They are beautiful birds.
        I also do not like caged birds and I am just always putting myself in their shoes, they just have to be free and flying if possible.
