The courage to survive death

Not being dead does not mean you're alive. E. E. Cummings

One of the most difficult experiences for man is the experience of death. Not only his own but also his death. And most of all that of his beloved beings.

But in fact, death is present, apparently or hiddenly, continuously and everywhere around us, accompanying each and every day. Because death is an inalienable part of life. Every minute we have an idea closer to her. And if we choose to shut our eyes and clutter our ears from fear and ignorance in order to save it, instead of admitting and experiencing its presence, we will prevent it not so much for it (because it, death, irrevocably knows and does its job) as much as ourselves, of living in us in a natural, peaceful and joyful way.

Death is a rebirth. They've made their way here, we're going where we came from - supposedly "nothing." But can such miracles like life, love, joy, gentleness, charity come and go to "nothingness"?

Let us admit that not only do we hope, but deep inside we know that death is not a final end but a transition, going beyond, will give us the courage to refrain from turning it back, not to experience it as a mistake or punishment, but to receive it with attention, consideration, listening and respect. And then we will meet her not so much through the murders and crashes in the news as though the choice that every soul does in the past so that it can change and continue its path beyond its earthly form.

We are increasingly striving for natural things. And in this line of thought, when we talk about natural birth, it is good to let natural death also happen. In fact, how many people, and animals, today die from old age? And do we have the courage, without forcing this process (albeit with good intentions), to lead patiently someone in his last steps - without hastiness, without panic and guilt, with love, tenderness and compassion, and with the realization that this experience no one cannot save us from us?

Surprising or anticipated, death cannot be easy. For us, the ones on the earth set roots and tie ourselves to ourselves, to the earth, and to each other. Death cannot be quick either - because it actually lasts a lifetime. "They say that life passes lightly before your eyes before you die. That's true - it's called Life. "Terry Pratchett

But the final, the moment of separation and change, is important to us no less than our birth - because it helps us to let go, to say goodbye (a wonderful forgotten word) and gives meaning not only to those leaving, but also to those who leave who remain behind them to get up and then graciously carry them in their memories while they are alive. Because she, death, is actually for the living.

And it is "experience" that is the exact word of death. Because life continues, albeit changed, after it. Because he, life, is inexhaustible. And death is just one of his names.
