Emergency over, getting back to normal but so much wind to deal with. 💩💩

After another night of restless sleep me and hubby got up at half 8 to get ready for hubby to go into hospital for his Colonoscopy where i wrote about it here:

We planned to go to the hospital get him signed in the i would wait until it was time to go down then i would leave, *as we usually do when one of us goes into hospital. Once there we had to change our plans as hubby decided to go through the operation without a sedative and he was 2nd to go down so was signed in then dressed to go down. The nurse said he wouldn't be long as its a straight forward operation so wouldn't be worth going home, she said go have a coffee Glen can ring you when he is done. We had 3 hours set for the car park, if you go over a minute they send you bill for £50 so thought we would have plenty of time.

I went for a coffee keeping my phone put waiting for the phone call, thankfully i knew the lady serving at the coffee shop, meant i wasn't by myself for long and got the chance to catch up with her. 2 hours and 2 coffee's later i am still waiting for the phone call, starting to worry they had found something or something bad had happened i decided to go back to the ward and find out what is going on. Why do we always think something bad has happened.

Once back at the ward i found out that they had to admit an emergency and that operation had taken longer than usual, Phew I was back 5 minutes when hubby walked back to the ward with a nurse, 5 minutes later he came through dressed with the good news everything was fine, they had found a couple of polyps which they removed, they will be doing a Biopsy but the surgeon had said he doubts there is anything wrong and he was pleased how things looked.

Hubby was starving, he hadn't eaten since 6am the morning before, 30 hours without food. I had to drop him off at home as they had filled his colon with air so you can imagine how he sounded coming out of hospital, i wasn't going to sit in Starbucks's having a coffee and sandwich whilst he passes wind.

I dropped him off picking Nichola up to help me carry the coffee and sandwich's home.

We are now home, had our tea ready to chill out now its all over. We have cancelled shopping tomorrow so we can have a weekend of resting and catching up on lost sleep. Hubby is feeling OK a little uncomfortable but nothing to bad,i am aching all over, i am ready for a few days of doing nothing.

Thank you @son-of-satire
