The snails are escaping hubby's fish tank. We have to barricade them in.
I have posted about my hubby's fish tank and his snails before but now those little suckers are becoming a problem.
As you can see we have had to stand different items on top. There are 3 holes in the lid of the tank for wires and for feeding. These snails are climbing up the tank towards to the holes then trying to escape.
Here is one at the back of the tank pushing there food pot out of the way so they can escape.
Hubby found a snail on the floor after it had moved the first ornament at the front of the tank. We had to put something heavier there to stop it from happening again but then they found the other holes.
Hubby has been onto the company telling them the problem with the lid, the holes are too big but they said there was nothing wrong with the tank.
Thank you son-of-satire
get some very fine nylon mesh, cut it into strips, wind it around the hose/wire going into the tank and fill the hole ou with it.
being nylon it won't rust, being mesh it will allow air in and out.
Thats a good idea and would look better than standing ornaments on top. A good idea from @len.george wow hehe thank you :)
use a "Pot Scrubber" and it will stop you doing the dishes as well.
That's a brilliant idea :)
They obviously don't put snails in their tanks! LOL. Where do the snails think they are going? LOL
They baffle me, weird little things :)
Lol:) They seek for a new marvelous world:)
