The BRUTAL Aftermath of a CHINESE Massage!

If you ever find yourself in China, make sure you get a Chinese massage. They are very thorough and inexpensive in smaller cities! I for one do not like gentle soothing massages, I prefer aggressive ones that get rid of all the muscle knots and make me feel sore. This is the only way that I feel rejuvenated after a massage. A gentle one does not cut it for me!
Lillian finished running her marathon but unfortunately, she couldn't get her FREE massage because the workers decided to get off work before her turn.
It could actually be a positive thing, because that is why we came to this place and I could get a massage as well!
The masseuse destroyed me. She first did a full body massage which was really painful but satisfying! I have big knots in my traps that needed some hardcore massaging to reduce. After that, she did something called Ba Guan which is a Chinese cup massage.
They use these glass cups, put fire in them and then put them on parts of your back. The fire burns up the oxygen inside the cup, which creates a vacuum and that draws the skin up to supposedly get rid of toxins. The cups are quite hot, so you will need to relax and not freak out when it first goes on your back because it will feel hot.
After they take the cups off, you end up with this!
I am not sure if this actually gets rid of toxins, but I have an open mind and feel like it did do something good to my body.

Whoa dude! That is insane. I have seen pictures of people after they have had cupping done but nothing like that. That looks super intense and it looks like it drew a lot of blood to the cup areas that were on your deltoids!
I will be curious to see how long those stay around for. I have a feeling it will be a couple of weeks before there is no bruising but I'm not sure.
I had this done on May 13. The bruises on my delts are still faintly visible hahaha!
The colour was pretty intense. I agree with you. The spots were quite dark but when I see other people's, it is a lighter colour.
Does it hurt? I've always been really curious to try one of those massages. Years ago I sold these little twist things that were used for cupping, I sold them on AMazon, they never did super well but sold a few.
I'm with you, I don't really care for a soft or swedish massage, I like a massage where I'm like squirming on the table because it hurts lol, you walk away feeling like your really loosened up
The massage did hurt quite a bit at times. I have some knots in my traps area so she kept on rubbing that part really hard lol.
The fire cup massage hurts a little. The cup is hot when they first put it on your back. If you just relax and breathe, you'll be able to handle it. The cup will act like a suction pump to pull the skin up which can be painful/uncomfortable but you'll get used to it.
Give it a shot man, you might like it and find that it helps a lot.
Just curious what's a massage like that cost in China? Curious how it compares to prices here in the states.
Full body + feet + stone + cup massage = 139 RMB ($21.68 USD) per person. The whole session is 90 minutes long. They even brought us some watermelon slices to eat as well.
Such a great value. Prices would probably be higher in big cities like Beijing and Shanghai though.
Yeah that's a great deal. Here in Chicago it would probably run anywhere from minimum $60 to maybe as much as $180 if you went to an upscale place.
I agree with you, personally I prefer a more aggressive or more intense massage so that the muscle comes out of the pressure, a good massage. and here we can see all the curious things that China offers us
Hello friend, actually if I believe in the power of relief of this type of massage. They did not make me with those that leave a mark but it was with the same glasses and with the same calar but maybe with intensity. and also with a full massage, acupuncture and aliniamiento de colunna and the truth that is as good as new :D
Yes, the combo works very well. It also works very well if before the massage, you did some exercise or weightlifting. The massage can help increase the blood flow to your muscles so that you recover faster.
I've been there and done that too! For me I did feel somewhat better afterwards actually, how much of that can be attributed to the placebo effect I couldn't tell you lol.
Who doesn't feel good after a nice hardcore massage? I'd say it is effective even without a placebo. You are increasing blood flow to the muscles and that can help recover from certain muscle pains.

Brother in Venezuela there are all kinds of people, from Chinese to Mexican, that is one of the things I like most about this beautiful country, which does not have a reasoning session or hatred towards others ...
In Venezuela, normally in each sector there is a Chinese, where it includes a market or a restaurant, there are many Chinese here in Venezuela and have you managed to see a Venezuelan in China?

I haven't met someone from Venezuela in China but I am sure they exist. A lot of foreigners live in southern China but I live in the north. If I go to the south, I think I will find many people from you country if I ask them where they are from.

Tremendous massage just for seeing it, it hurts ... After a great marathon if you need a great massage, how much did it hurt? qualifying it from 1 to 10 ??
The full body massage was painful near my traps area. She really dug into that part. At times the pain was a 9-10/10. One time I had to push her hands off me haha. Most of the time it was a 6-8/10
The cup massage was actually less painful lol. It burns a little. I would say about a 7/10.
