You must often hear the phrase "Let it flow like water" or at least a similar sentence that invites you to live like that. This principle seems true and high level of sincerity. Some assumptions state this principle shows a person's capacity and quality. Is this principle really right ? Is this a solution to the problem you are facing ? Let us try to reinterpret this principle, so later we know when this principle is used and for what.

About water ... There are some things that I have to say about the fact of water.

1. Water is created by God which is the most urgent thing in human life, the humans can live without food but can not live without water.
2. Water always flow to a lower place. It's the nature thing of water.
3. Water has a fresh and salty taste, besides it does not exist, unless there is mixing with other ingredients there will be sweet, bitter, sour and others.
4. Every living things also need water not only humans, even bacteria need water.

From these facts we can see that water is an important factor in life and provides many lessons in our lives. Water teaches us to be gentle and firm. Water teaches us to be thrifty and other things. But what about take the principle of water naturally like the phrase above ? this still needs to be studied further.

"Live like running water" is a principle that is not necessarily right for us to apply. Why ? because principles like this seem to make you like someone who is "lost in yourself" and "no energy". You are too resigned and neglect your business.

It is true that life is a gift from God as creator. And remember ... !! each of us has the potential to "direct" life in a better direction. Then do you take the attitude to surrender to what you can try? I don't think so.

Resignation and letting life like "running water" is an attitude that does not reflect that you are given the ability in yourself, you have a brain to think, have a hand to try and have legs to go to a good place to change your life.

It is true that water flows to a lower place, but see how water is too easily "blocked" by rocks or other objects. You are reflected as a person who is unable to take lessons. Just follower, not creator, has no ambition. Just living, without a clear plan, even the direction is unpredictable. Isn't it ? "Just Life like the running water" is often justification and only as an excuse to surrender to the situation. You feel you've done your best when it's not optimal.

If you encounter difficulties, you assume that there is no cure. You are in troubles and then fall asleep with that distress. Always nervous about problems. Even feel it's impossible to do two three jobs at a time. Finally, the situation is considered to be the culprit aka surrender. Its Like writing or looking for photography objects, we will easily say that we have no material, no inspiration or we often say we don't have time.

Likewise as business people, when you face competition and you fail to compete, the easy sentences that slide from us are surrender. Or in arguing, sometimes there are often debates and you cannot defend your opinion and then say we follow what is decided. We have many activities, but at the same time often blame that situation. "Just Life like running water", as if to teach us to justify our own situation. And finally, "lose before a match". No obsession, no vision for the future.

So, what to do ? Just try at first, optimize all your abilities, look for support from around you, stay optimistic even though you are a minority, don't be a tyrannical majority.

Kamu pasti sering mendengar kalimat “Biarkan mengalir seperti air” atau sekurang-kurangnya kalimat serupa yang mengajak kitabuntuk menjalani kehidupan itu dengan apa adanya. Prinsip ini seolah benar dan seolah adalah ikhlas tingkat tinggi. Bahkan beberapa anggapan menyatakan prinsip ini menunjukan kapasitas dan kualitas seseorang. Benarkah prinsip ini ? Apakah ini jalan keluar terhadap permasalahan yang sedang kamu hadapi ? Mari kita mencoba menginterpretasikan kembali prinsip ini, agar nanti kita mengetahui kapan prinsip ini digunakan dan untuk apa prinsip ini diterapkan.

Air..Ada beberapa hal yang mesti saya ungkapkan tentang fakta air.

1. Air adalah mahkluk ciptaan tuhan yang menjadi hal paling urgen dalam kehidupan manusia, manusia bisa hidup tanpa makan namun tidak tanpa air.
2. Air akan selalu mengalir ke tempat yang lebih rendah. Itu sifat air secara alami.
3. Air memiliki rasa tawar dan asin, selain itu tidak ada, kecuali ada percampuran dengan bahan lain maka akan ada manis, pahit, asam dan lain-lain.
4. Setiap makhluk hidup selain manusia juga butuh air, bahkan bakteri butuh air.

Dari fakta-fakta ini dapat kita lihat bahwa air merupakan faktor penting dalam kehidupan dan memberikan banyak pelajaran dalam kehidupan kita. Air mengajarkan kita untuk bersikap lembut dan tegas. Air mengajarkan kita untuk selalu hemat dan hal lain. Namun bagaimana dengan sifat air bahkan mengambil prinsip air secara alami seperti ungkapan di atas ? ini masih perlu untuk dikaji lebih lanjut.

"Hiduplah seperti air yang mengalir " adalah prinsip yang belum tentu tepat untuk kita terapkan. Mengapa ? karena prinsip seperti ini seolah membuatmu seperti seseorang yang "hilang jati diri" dan “tidak punya energi”. kamu terlalu pasrah dan menafikkan usaha.

Benar bahwa hidup adalah anugerah dari Tuhan sebagai pencipta. Dan ingat..!! setiap kita memiliki potensi untuk “mengarahkan” hidup ke arah yang lebih baik. Lalu tepatkah kamu mengambil sikap untuk pasrah saja terhadap apa yang bisa kamu usahakan ? Rasanya tidak.

Sikap pasrah dan membiarkan hidup seperti “air mengalir” adalah sikap yang tidak mencerminkan bahwa kamu diberikan kemampuan dalam diri, kamu punya otak untuk berpikir, punya tangan untuk berusaha dan punya kaki untuk menuju tempat yang baik untuk merubah hidupmu.

Benar bahwa air mengalir ke tempat yang lebih rendah, namun lihatlah bagaimana air terlalu mudah “dihalangi” bebatuan atau benda lain. Kamu dicerminkan sebagai sosok yang tak mampu mengambil hikmah. Just follower, bukan creator, tidak ada ambisi. Hanya sekedar hidup, tanpa rencana yang jelas, bahkan arahnya gak bisa diduga. Iya gak?

“Hidup seperti air yang mengalir” sering menjadi pembenaran dan hanya sebagai dalih untuk menyerah terhadap keadaan. Kamu merasa sudah berbuat maksimal padahal tidak optimal.

Jika bertemu dengan kesulitan, kamu beranggapan bahwa sudah tak ada obatnya. kamu susah dan kemudian terlena dengan kesusahan itu. Selalu gelisah pada masalah. Bahkan merasa tidak mungkin mengerjakan dua tiga pekerjaan dalam satu waktu. Akhirnya, keadaan dianggap jadi biang kerok alias pasrah sepasrah-pasrahnya.

Seperti menulis atau mencari objek fotografi, maka dengan mudah kita akan berkata tidak punya bahan, tidak ada inspirasi atau bahkan Kita sering berkata tidak punya waktu.

Begitu pula sebagai pelaku usaha, ketika kamu menghadapi persaingan dan kamu gagal bersaing maka kalimat mudah yang meluncur dari kita adalah pasrah. Dalam berpendapat terkadang sering terjadi perdebatan dan kamu tidak bisa mempertahankan pendapatmu lalu berkata ikut aja apa yang diputuskan. Kita punya banyak aktivitas, tapi di saat yang sama sering menyalahkan keadaan itu.

“Hidup seperti air mengalir”, seolah mengajarkan kita untuk melakukan pembenaran terhadap keadaan kita sendiri. Dan akhirnya, “kalah sebelum bertanding”. Tak punya obsesi, tak punya visi ke depan.

So, berusahalah lebih dahulu, optimalkan segala kemampuanmu, cari dukungan dari sekitarmu, tetap optimis meski minoritas, jangan zalim menjadi mayoritas.
