If there is fate, do we have free will?

Can fate and free will coexist? Or simply they are two different things. Let's find out.

We get our definition of fate from our friend google and google says:

The development of events outside a person's control, regarded as predetermined by a supernatural power.

It is out of our control. So, at first sight, we can see that fate is the opposite of free will. It is out of our control. That does not mean anything yet. Don't jump to conclusions.

So for the purpose of understanding, I will ask google for the definition of free will. And we get this:

The power of acting without the constraint of necessity or fate; the ability to act at one's own discretion.

Oh, we have fate in the definition. So the debate is over? They are two different things. Bye God Bl..

Hold on. It may look like they are two different things. But they may work together.

Ok, so I will talk about two different theories about fate:

The first one is: Absolute fate.

Absolute fate means that every decision that we make was predetermined before we even make it. Our whole life is just a movie if absolute fate is true. We are simply in the front seat watching it unveil in front of our eyes. In this particular theory, free will cannot exist. We think that we are doing our decision when in fact something is interfering and is making our decision before we even know about the decision in the first place. And our life in general. Free will is an illusion here.

Second theory: Ultimate consequences.

This theory is about that only the ultimate consequences are a part of fate. What do I mean by that? For example, you can willingly make all of your decisions in life, but they, in the end, must connect into a bigger picture. You have a decision between going left or right. You chose left. Ultimately you must arrive at the church. But the church is on the right side. Then, for an unknown for you reason, the left road is closed. So you arrive at the church even if you wanted to go somewhere else. It may be more complex, but that is just a simple example. That we call purpose of life. When there is a goal that must be accomplished the world itself will provide you with the right path. In the end, all that matters are not your decisions, but if the goal has been completed. And that is an example of fate and free will working together. You learn from your mistakes, that your free will provide, so in the long run, you can go on the right path and complete your fate. God's will.

I believe more in the second theory, but I would want to know what you think down in the comments.

Predetermined fate

Before we are born a part of our life is already determined. If you are born into a poor family you will need to work harder. If your parents are musicians, you may become one. In our early years of life, our parents can predetermine our future. We can all call that fate as well because it is an interference from outside of our free will.

Names

Names can also predetermine child's life. Especially when naming him/her on someone that you know.
For example, let's have a child that we will name after Emma Watson. Our child's name is Emma and we also want her to be an actress. Later on, we see that the same child has an intention to be an actress. Then she becomes one. So what just happened? Miracle? I don't think so.

When a parent is saying the child's name they connect it with Emma Watson. The parent then subconsciously raises his kid to be an actress. "Oh, how I want you to be like Watson". The name of the child is not that important. With who we associate it with is important. Even when the child gets older and asks her mother why she was named Emma, the child will get interested in acting.

Manipulated fate

How can somebody's fate be manipulated? So to control their decisions and behaviour. Through movies, media, music and etc. For example, in movies they mock God. They make fun of him. Then they will repeat that mocking in other shows or maybe everywhere. Then a decision will arise for you where you have the opportunity to read the Bible, but you won't do it. Because you have been programmed. They are manipulating your future. They can manipulate your fate even before it happens. They repeat a scenario through movies over and over again, then when you have the choice in real life, your brain will just think that you have done that before. When the brain thinks of the last time you have made that decision, you will by reflex make the same decision as before. The brain does not make a difference between watching TV and experiencing it in real life. That is how you are being destined to act in a certain way in a certain situation. If you don't want this to happen, just think more before taking a decision.

In the end, we cannot know for sure why we act this way or that way about everything. We need to think more about our decisions and we need to know why we make the one and not the other.
I wanted to write something longer than usual so tell me what you think about this post. I will be glad to answer some comments.
Have a wonderful day.
God Bless.
