You don't know the pile of oyster you will have to open to find a pearl!!
Sometimes life can be so unfair, you put in so much effort and get nothing back. You are nice to people but everyone seems to treat you badly, you work so hard and others enjoy the fruits of your labour.
Even with how committed you are to life, the things you are struggling to get done are what your age mates have done a long time ago, you experience unnecessary set-backs,set-backs that you can't even explain or wrap your head around.
Situations like this hurts, it's not fair but then life isn't. However,we just have to keep pushing and giving our 100% in whatever we do because we don't know which of our efforts will pay off.
I have come to realise that whenever we are being favoured in some way, we tend to think that we are being lucky, but the truth is that we are actually being rewarded for an effort we put in sometime ago that we have forgotten about. This is why you shouldn't give up in a situation where you expected a reward for an effort and it didn't come forth, this is why you shouldn't give you when you experience a temporary set-back.
Also, to be happy and to make your life easier, you need to learn to work at somethings without looking for an immediate reward. Always looking for rewards can be detrimental to your well-being, if things don't turn out the way you expected. We need to learn to do somethings just for the fun of it, it keeps us busy and we love it. If the reward comes, then it's a bonus and if it does not, we will still be fine.
Finally, have you heard this saying?You don't know the pile of oyster you will have to open to find a pearl. I guess it explains this post better, you don't know which of your efforts, hardwork or good deeds will pay off some day, that is why you have to keep doing it 100%.

I totally agree with you. I haven't heard that quote before, but it suits your post very well. There's always a reason why things don't work out, maybe just so you can get a better reward later, or to teach you something like patience or that it's not best to focus solely on rewards.
