And The Calm Finally Arrives In A Light Blanket of White
November is a month of gloom in my part of the world. Yearly, it's been a month of terrible luck where bad thing after bad thing happens. This year was no different. It rained terribly all month and we haven't seem much sun. The rain and gray skies plus all our bad luck really has gotten to my mood. I've been in a terrible mood hence my lack of posting here lately.
I always can't wait until December and the arrival of winter weather. Fall is a month of rain and up and down temperatures. It'll be warm the cold and then warm then cold. The constant temperature changes makes it hard to stabilize so that your body can get use to being outside in the cold. Because of all the rain it is always foggy since we live high in the mountains.
Snow Falling From Blue and Sunny Skies
Winter brings constant cold. The cold is crisp and clean and it just feels good to be outside. It also marks the end of our rainy season and the return of blue skies. Yesterday we got our very first November snowfall that I can remember. Typically snow doesn't happen until late December or January. I'm very happy to see snow.
Yesterday I stood outside as it snowed and the world was silent. No cars, no people, no animals...the world was silent while everyone hid away in their nice warm homes. That only happens when it snows. Snow falls silently and the only sound you can hear is the wind.
Not A Lot of Snow But Just Enough For Me
Snow is good for my soul. I needed a fresh start. I needed a change. November was quite horrible this year. With the arrival of winter and snow my brain has snapped out of it's dark place. Things are going to be alright now. Things will be better now.

Life is like a roller coaster, it has ups and downs, nothing is perfect and almost always we find one or another obstacle in the way, which we must overcome in order to continue with our life and give that respite of tranquility and tell time and life that we are still here and we will fight to the end.
Wow, in my country does not fall snow, I would like to travel some day in a country where snow is constant, it is an experience that I would like to live, although I do not know if I would be able to support since I live in a tropical country (Venezuela). @marxrab
You can totally have some of our snow, if you want it. We had very slippery roads today. So bad that even I, a very careful driver, managed to slide up onto a curb today.
I'm with you on the November thing, though. It's just a gross month. All these clouds and crappy weather... Ugh! How are the ducks doing?
I love snow, the deeper, the fluffier, the better it is. You got a light dusting, I call that a tease. November is also kind of unlucky for me too.
For example today, I was 10 minutes away from leaving home this morning to go to work, and right after I finished brushing my teeth and I turned the door knob to exit it broke. I was literally trapped in my bathroom. the mechanism inside broke and so as I turned the knob the latch wouldn't move. I had to climb out the bathroom and then back into through the kitchen window. I live on campus so the repair guy came in the evening and it took him quit a while to figure out the problem. Now my bathroom has no door knob until the paper work is filled and I'm granted new door knob, it could take over a week he said.
Anyways.... dinner time.
