An old man saw a child with a bird and collected it forcefully, the young boy was crying on his way back and saw another elderly man who asked why he was crying and he said someone collected his bird. The old man then asked the young boy to direct him so that he can collect his bird for him, on getting there the old man asked the other old man if he collected the young boy's bird, the other old man asked the man questioning him to take a look at his bag, he has no bird here, on looking into the bag the man saw the bird, looking at the old man and the boy, told the boy that there is no bird in the bag( there was a bird in the bag)

Lesson

Even if you must lie, it should be a lie to cover something which will be more grievous than knowing the truth. The old man in this situation had to save the face of the other in front of the young boy.
