Borderline Personality Disorder(BPD)

I know irate people who'd get extremely wrathful and vengeful at the slightest provocation.

I know dramatic people who always made a mountain out of a mole hill throwing tantrums here and there over a trivial case.

And I know people who are given to impulsive mood swings; unpredictable and unstable emotions, which could last for days, usually for no just cause.

People who'd just up and destroy everything and anyone around them in a fit of rage and anger as if they were possessed.

People who harbored a persistent fear of abandonment and rejection, including extreme emotional and physical reactions to even perceived feelings of being left.

Fear
Emptiness
Isolation
Jealousy
Attention - seeking.

I know them all.

But I didn't know about Borderline Personality Disorder until I came across Tyler Perry's Acrimony and felt Melinda's pain and helplessness.

And I begun to at once see that these people are our extremely jealous girlfriends, controlling boyfriends, dramatic mothers and irate fathers.

People such as these are very likely to suffer from BPD and they don't even know it. And we're not just talking temperament now.

I know someone who'd always lose out on important things once she gets angry and who'd regret afterwards.

No Ma, no Sir, it is not just how you are or your 5-minute madness, neither is it because you were really hurt and that's why you want to take your life and possibly his. Everyone should understand your pain.

No, you're not normal. You need help. Therapy. And the first step towards getting that help is accepting that you need fixing.

And I know we all have levels of threshold for pain, yes. But taking your life or that of your partner's because he/she left you is certainly not a normal 'level'.

Unable to control your anger.
Seamless bitterness
Borderline Jealousy
Unjustifiable mood swings.

Heal. Move on. Most importantly, you have a problem, get help. Therapy.
