Snowfall

With the recent snow storm and winter almost here to stay for the next few months, we are bringing out the heavy duty stuff like thick winter coats and snow boots. Long sleeved tees, lumberjack shirts, thick socks, wollen scarfs and gloves also come out from storage boxes for some bit of airing. I know winter has not officially arrived yet but it is cold already.

The snow blower, shovels and sleds are waiting to be used. The kiddo's mama would collect a few thick empty cardboard boxes when she shops at Costco. These are opened up and laid out on the garage floor to catch and soak up melting snow from the car tires.

Lovely pots of flowering plants do not survive the frost and cold. Only the hardy bushes and hedges thrive and remain green. I find that I have to trim them more often (when there is no snow) in winter than in summer.
