MORAL DECADENCE IN THE SOCIETY

We all know that there are changes in our society today, ranging from Technologies, Media, Religion, Morals etc these changes have both negative and positive effects on us.

We can't deny the Moral decadence that is prevalent in our society today. Our fashion trends today has transitioned from being fully covered to being naked, drug abuse is a norm and even respect and love for our neighbour is missing. In the previous years in the African culture, youths dare not disrecpect an elderly person but now an 18 year old can sit behind a computer and abuse a 35 year old. It is appalling!

When things like these happen, we start looking for who to blame. The parents blame the society, the society blame the internet, then the internet blame the parents and it's a cycle.

We fail to realize that both the society and the internet are made up of humans not aliens and every human being came from a family which is headed by parents.. So now who is to be blamed? Could it be parents? Of course.

If all the parents in the universe should raise their kids right, then the world will be a better place. Here in Nigeria, if a person should behave badly, he/she is said to lack home training. It all begins from the home. Even if I raise my kids right, they will still go to school and mix up with other kids who might corrupt them, so the only way that can be avoided is if all parents in the world individually raise their kids right.

Family is the root of everything good or bad. It is true that most times well trained kids end up being bad and everything cannot be 100% right, but at least the Moral decadence wouldn't have been this bad if parents did the right thing. There are cases where both parents are career inclined, they work from morning till night, leaving the kids to do whatever they like. These kids grow up fast and the damage cannot be revoked.

Human beings make up the internet, society and government, and these humans are rooted in families. When you want to solve a problem, you start from the root. Family is the root of moral decadence and it is only familyy that can solve atleast 70% of the problems.
