Life has a lot of twist in it; one side is always different from another; that is why we have a different perspective on life.

In one of my articles a few days ago titled; WOULD YOU BE A FULL-TIME STAY HOME FATHER/DAD?- A MUST READ FOR ALL MALE, I discussed being a man and also being a fulltime stay home father and husband while the wife switched to the breadwinner in the family. Here is the backup story below as you read along.

Mr. and Mrs. Richards are happily married with three kids, Mr. Richards was formerly working with an insurance company before losing his job, and with a twist of faith his wife got a job during the moments of his misfortune. The high-cost childcare is something every family would consider, so Mr Richards took up that job of attending to children; something he would wish he had not considered doing.

Doing house chores, clothing the kids and feeding the baby seems normal at first, but by nature; women tend to endure these moments than men. After a few months at home, he started missing his job and old colleagues, started missing his bosses even though he never liked them while he still has his job. Life seems like a dark circus to Mr. Richards, each day comes with a new trick and weirdest magic beyond his wildest imaginations.

Things started falling apart when his wife attitude starts to change, the once sweet and caring wife had become so aggressive and apprehensive, confronting her husband every single opportunity she has once she is back from work or on her free days and weekends.

There was a particular time the couple and their kids went shopping, Mr. Richards was embarrassed by his wife when he needed some personal sundries for himself and the wife declined to state it’s not in their budget and it was very obvious to everyone around who calls the shot at home with this family. These went on and on for almost a year, the man of the house has become so timid and unhappy, his confidence had left him and at some point, it was really hopeless for his friends to try to cheer him up and take him out to pubs and parties.

Everything keeps going down the drain until late winter when one of Mr. Richards’s friends got him a new job, not so high paying like his last job but it was like an inmate on death roll that got his offenses pardoned and freed. He took the job wholeheartedly, and just three months afterward he had been promoted with his salary doubling that of his wife and his.

MORAL

It is naturally programmed for a man to be the head of the family, he can help the wife with house chores and keeping the family but he is not naturally designed to do it alone all by himself. Now I know many might disagree with this but it is just not a good deal in any family for the wife to assume the full role of breadwinning.

It might work for some families, and not work for some; but out of individual differences, wisdom is required to agree in this kind of situation. Thanks for reading.
