“HUMILITY & RESPECT, IS MISSING”

Stephanie is in her mid-twenties, she has just badged her third degree and everything seems to be in order, pretty, accomplished and young many men wish they have a successful lady as theirs, but not many actually could cope with the real person behind those achievements.

At 5”9, with a slim physique like a supermodel, she is a spectacle anywhere. A young woman full of glamour, she had turned down three jobs, seeking for the perfect dream job. But, a lot of people allow achievements gets into their heads; hence they become heady and too egocentric.

No pressure for Steph, so she thought. In her world, she would get the man of her choice and dream at own beck and calls; same thing goes for a good job. Many roam this earth with a lot of qualifications and yet they could get a job, maybe their human relationship skill is flawed or they just carry bad luck around. In Steph’s case, she felt the best job would come her way.

It is for a fact that, some people look down on others out of disgust, while some category looks down on people to help them up in their crisis, Steph had looked down on a lot of people and jobs, she felt she was too good for them hence she never go for many interviews or bail out after hearing her pay-scale. She was raised in a wealthy family, so the principle of small steps, little beginning never applies to her.

Early winter, she got an interview call with a Multinational IT company; she had prepared well a couple of days before her interview she thought to herself, so it should be easy pissy.

Punctuality is not Steph’s problem, so she had gotten up early to get the company’s HQ for her interview slated for 08:00hrs, she drove her cool colour SUV in silence has she drove listening to a soul music on the car radio. By 07:00hrs, she had gotten into the Elevator and pressed 13 button, getting to the 13th floor was easy with the elevator, she had located a pregnant woman at the ground floor, looking tired, probably working overtime to make up for her soon to due maternity leave.

She had ignored the woman, even though the look on the woman’s face was somewhat too friendly, she was shocked because she had just flash the most friendly smile at the pretty lady that just walked by and she ignored her. There was distressed in her face probably because she was tired or coming to work that early in her state. Unknown to Steph, that was her immediate boss and she was curious to know if she was one of the new recruits to join her so she could get acquainted with her before going for her one year maternity leave.

The interview took just 15mins, by then Steph was confident she would get that job because she had nailed it, she was asked to wait in an office with two other guys, she didn’t relate with them so the room was just filled with whispers from the two guys, out of about seven candidates, 3 of them had been picked for the final phase.

.

Surprisingly, the pregnant woman is Human Resources Director, and she was the one to screen the final phase. That was what brought her to work, that was why she was not so happy coming too early to work.

Upon seeing Steph, she recognised her and she did also, still smiling at Steph who was not looking up. Without wasting time, she dismissed the high and mighty job seeker, stating she preferred to work with extremely friendly people.

Steph went back home dejected, she had to wait for a couple of months for another good job offer like the one she missed based on her attitude, nobody knows if she eventually got that job too!

Attitude thumps all else. You may be intelligent, beautiful and rich but without the right attitude, its all just gonna go to shit. There are thousands of Stephs roaming our streets daily and they make good people look bad.
Its a good thing she got what she got and hope she learns her lesson.
Stay awesome!

Many thanks for the input brother.
