Yes, one silly mistake can cost you a whole lot.

There was this wealthy woman that want to buy a piece of land. He was advised to pay a lawyer that can help him out and also follow due procedures to avoid issues. Be refused probably because he feels he's too smart.

He thought paying a lawyer would cost him too much and he wasn't ready to do that after all he's street smart and can protect himself from any kind of fraud.

He went ahead, did the inspection of the land and was cool with everything. He checked the documents and paid for the land.

Soon enough, he got into trouble...
Yes, the land he bought was owned by the government so he had no choice than to let go. He lost millions

Now, we can blame the sellers all we want for defrauding him but we shouldn't overlook the fact that the buyer wasn't smart too.
The question is would you risk millions to buy a land because you want to save a little amount?
I mean, getting a lawyer would have saved in from this. It wouldn't have taken the lawyer much time to discover that the land was owned by the government. The lawyer would have done his job thoroughly.

Many people will quickly tell you they were scammed or defrauded but will never tell you how they did no research or asked questions before jumping into whatever offer they get.

I mean, how can you just decide or convince yourself to totally trust someone you're doing business with,someone you just met, we all have to be careful.

• Check things out thoroughly
• If they have an office, please visit them
• Always check their track record, ask for people they've worked with.
• Ask more questions, involve trusted third parties if possible

Be careful with your dealings, do your won research, ask questions. My mom says, if you ask questions you'll never miss your way
Many people get scammed because of greed too, Don't be greedy too...
