A BLESSING IN DISGUISE

in #life6 years ago

A lot of us live our lives believing in a higher power or supreme being (God). Personally, I like to think of myself as a religious person. Of course it is not all who share this believe, but for those of us who do, prayer tend to be an important part of our lives. While we continue to work hard towards the fulfillment of our goals, we do so along side prayer. We constantly ask of God to guide our paths and bless us with success and most of the time, these prayers are answered. Unfortunately, most of us do not realize this until it's too late. God does not usually answer our prayers in the exact manner we expect to see it answered.

Sometimes we may ask God for success, and He gives us physical and mental stamina. We might plead for prosperity, and we receive enlarged perspective and increased patience, or we petition for growth and are blessed with the gift of grace. He may bestow upon us conviction and confidence as we strive to achieve worthy goals.

The above quotation is attributed to Bednar. David Allan Bednar is a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. An educator by profession, Bednar was president of Brigham Young University–Idaho from 1997 to 2004.

I believe that God has a plan for each of us, a master plan within which each of our individual plans maybe found. Unfortunately, due to our own limitations as humans, we are unable to see and appreciate these plans. A man may ask God for a Car which would be his means to death. But God sees this and denies him the car. If this man is not of great faith, he thinks God has ignored his prayer. In the same vane, a man may pray for a good wife and God will provide him with one just in his own backyard. But this man is blinded to this fact, and keeps looking else where for his soul mate.

It's important to realize that our prayers may be answered in various forms, sometimes it is disguised and all we have to do is look closely. Also, not all tragedies are entirely bad, sometimes they are there to prevent even greater calamities. So for those who are believers, it's a matter of faith.

Hello! I find your post valuable for the wafrica community! Thanks for the great post! @wafrica is now following you! ALWAYs follow @wafrica and use the wafrica tag!

I remember a preaching I once heard where the pastor said that, When you ask God for something, lets say patience or confidence, He'd provide you with the circumstances for you to able to show that confidence or Patience, but he wont just put patience or confidence inside of you.

Well said @osmansnr.
I am myself a true believer in the MASTER PLAN and everyone who follows SECRET (law of attraction) will agree to that.
Everything that has happened in my life, personally if I would say, has benefitted me in some way. Be in terms of financial growth, or growth in learning or experiences, or in terms of relationships. I see meaning in everything now. And that's how it turns up to be. It's just that one needs to sit and observe very closely what has happened in his/her life and what would have happened if there would be no such thing in the past.

Let's spread this message to the world so that there can be more peace and selflessness.
