Surely there must be a reason for the statements.
Let us look at Wolves.
They are the largest members of the dog family, and there are a number of Wolf identified by color, habitat or characteristics.
the Grey Wolf is also known as the Timber Wolf, in North America, and White Wolf in the Arctic, also known as the Common Wolf.
The subspecies of the Common Wolf is the Eurasian Wolf, that includes the domestic dog, dingo and eastern wolf, as well as the Red Wolf. The subspecies Canus Lupis has 38 subspecies were names over the past 25) years, with a number already extinct.

There are disputes, concerning subspecies and species, for example in Eurasia the Appenine Wolf, Iberian wolf,
Himalayan wolf and the Indian Grey wolf.
In North American disputes are
Coastal wolves, Eastern Wolf, and Red wolf.
The dog is a divergent subspecies of the Grey Wolf and was derived from now-extinct population of Late Pleistocene Wolves. Through selective pressure and selective breeding the dog has developed into hundreds of various breeds, and shows more behavioral and morphological variation than any other mammal.

European Wolves evolved around 15,000 years ago, same time as the North American Wolves, but Anotn Wolves have originated long before that.
One of the characteristics of wolves are that they can be Intelligent, non-aggresive, and friendly and can make strong emotional attachments. All wolves have individual personalities, just like people. No two are alike. Their personalities develop through an individual's unique emotions an thoughts resulting in different behaviors
Genetically different personalities have evolved and persisted due to environmental conditions. Most of the traits are to ensure survival.
David Mech wrote the Ecology and behavior of Wolves, and he said that the strongest impression wolves can make on an observer is how friendly they are. Adults are friendly toward each other and to all pups.

The strongest personality trait is the capacity for making emotional attachments to other individuals. They become distressed when they are away from individuals or objects that they are attached to. It is through these attachments that packs are formed.
where humans usually think of Wolves as vicious and savage, it has been proven that wolves have a basic aversion to fighting and will avoid aggressive encounters. it was noticed that when a wolf first observed the fighting of dogs, became frantically upset, and then intervened by pulling the aggressor off by its tail.
It must be therefore concluded, that all the legends, of the vicious wolves who attack humans, or in general are aggressive is just legends or myths.

It must be understood that they are highly intelligent, with a good memory, and can associate events, can learn.
It is a tragedy that humans are responsible for erasing the Wolf population by mercilessly hunting them in certain countries.
