If you own a bicycle, you should be pumping your ties up to the designed PSI about once every week. I know this seems frequent, but it is easily one of the quickest ways to ensure a great ride while preventing pinch flats. As an added bonus, if you do get a flat, you will probably know about it before you even go on your ride! There are many pumps out there, but none as great or cost effective as the FP-200 from Serfas. This is out mainstay at the shop and I have seen hundreds go out the door and maybe 3 or 4 come back (between me and you, I am pretty sure they were the result of user error). So what makes this pump so great?

All Metal Construction

With the exception of the pump handle and the dial on the pressure gauge, the entire pump is metal and crazy durable. We have had the same one chained outside the shop 24/7 for the last 5 years without a problem. It’s ugly as sin, but it keeps on working. While not the lightest, I can say with confidence that they are built to last.

Smarthead

Forget having to worry about getting the right pump or right adapter depending on if you have presta or schraeder type valves on your tubes. With smarthead, it’s simply a plug and play operation. Just press the nozzle over the valve, lift up the thumb tab, and then you are good to go! Just flip down the tab before pulling the nozzle off, or you might pull the valve off with it!

Conclusion:

At $50, this is the best bike pump for anyone I can really imagine.
