This school week has been insane so at 3:02 pm on Friday, I look at the clock and think, “2 more minutes and it is over. At last, nothing else could possibly go wrong.”

Oops.

3:03 pm. One of my students trips on I don’t know what, catches herself on the edge of my computer desk, which isn’t a solid desktop. The computer(hard drive, screen, keyboard, everything)is catapulted into the air, hits the file cabinet and then the floor, the desktop landing on top of it.

She was not hurt but it took a lot of work to convince her she wasn’t in trouble. It looks like I will need a new hard drive, or at least repairs because the drive now has more than one piece but it was an accident.

As she and her friend helped clean things up, her friend did point out, “Well, look at it this way, you said you wanted to clean off the paperwork stacked on that table.”
