fightin teh codez again
well i started trying to work on my project again - and i use the term 'trying' very loosely.
the first problem happend right away with the script not even wanting to work - so i had to do a bunch of troubleshooting to just get it running again.
turns out i write pretty shitty code LOL
i did find a couple spots that needed a little tweak - but got it running - even better than it did before
i upgraded my nodejs and re-installed the app - now its screaming fast
so the rest of my life is so busy i almost dont have time to write code, hell i haven't had time to write post's.
it takes a fuck-ton of time to watch a little grand daughter and baby sit an apartment complex - some tenants are a pain the ass - and some are just stupid - oh well - such is life.
my next step now that i have my script running is to add some slick vuejs templates so i can get to the data with a more manageable front-end/UI.
I suck at this mongodb and the tools - almost no time for learning new stuff.
I did fairly well with lamp stack - so at least i got that going for me, but php is so different than nodejs and mongodb way different than mysql.
i think it's just goin to be a matter of learning the terminology and jusr working with the code and queries on a more steady basis.
Well that's it for a quick and dirty post for the day -
let's see when i get another chanace to put down a few words.
