The Wood Burning Stove 😍🔥
I LOVE the wood burning stove at the @gardenofeden!
Last night I slept by the fire.
Today we heated pies on top of our hot rocks after we cooked our sustainable feast, while simultaneously heating water for showers.
Hot rocks are one of the best things about living here - we heat bricks or rocks on the stove for an hour or two, wrap them in towels or blankets, and take them to bed to stay warm at night. With a few down and wool blankets and a stack of hot rocks, you stay real toasty under the covers in the nice fresh, crisp, cold winter air!

And...all the wood is free too!!! That stove has been an integral part of our winter existence since I had it put there. It has only increased in value and our lives have been incredibly enriched by it. So glad to enjoy my evenings around it with you @saramiller.
Love wood heat. We have a passive solar heated house, but when the weather has been as cloudy/rainy as this year, we sure give them a workout. Nothing like being warm with wood heat.
It looks like you have an older version of our 2 stoves...
Nothing beats a wood stove, ‘‘tis the season.
