Over the past weekend I binge-watched the season 3 of Stranger Things as soon as it was released. I was looking forward to it for a long time now and it is finally here. I suggest you go and watch the show if you haven't already.

It's a really good show that combines a great story line with great acting and characters you can relate to. Also, there are lots of scary monsters and good guys dealing with them, so, if you're in that sort of thing, you will really enjoy it.

Anyways, I loved the season 3 and felt that it made the series even better with how the story has progressed and I can't wait to watch the future seasons as well.

As for now, I want to talk about some life lessons I learned from this particular season. There might be SPOILERS ahead, so if you haven't watched the show, first do that.

Pursue What You Believe In

Facing criticism or skepticism is pretty normal in life. We face them all the time, not only from strangers but even from friends and family members. This might affect how we think and act as we may value the views of some of these people.

But if there is something you truly believe in, you should pursue it all the same. There is something inside of us all, that sometimes just "knows" when something is right. We often call it a gut feeling and more often than not, it is correct.

That is why, you should at least give something a try if you think it is worth pursuing. In the show, no one believe Nancy when she tells them about the weird rats but she decides to investigate further which leads to them discovering something more sinister.

Lesson In Friendship

Friendship is a big theme of the show ever since the beginning. We see a small group of friends take on the life threatening challenge of dealing with other worldly monsters, constantly fending for their lives.

They are only able to do so because if each others' help and support. Although this is all fiction of course, friendship plays an equally important role in our daily lives as well.

Friends form a support structure that is essential for anyone. The journey of life becomes just that much easier and more interesting with them and for some, they are even closer than their own family.

Life Will Hurt You

Everyone knows that there are lots of ups and downs in life. If there is sunshine one day, there is bound to be rain some other day. This is just how life works and we all discover that for our own, usually the hard way.

As Hopper says in his letter to Eleven, 'When life hurts you, because it will, remember the hurt. The hurt is good. It means you're out of that cave." This is just beautifully written and sums it up pretty well.

Life does hurt us. But that only serves to make us stronger, to help us grow and become more the wiser. If there are no obstacles in life, we just don't learn, we remain confined to our comfort zone, our bubble and that's opposite of what life is and what it's meant to be.

I think stranger things, is about.. Stranger.. Things.. than what you discuss. The whole MK ultra angle the show took.. Too often you find more truth in fiction than what whats presented as fact. Government experiments on kids in shows is fine but talk about that in reality and ooh suddenly you've gone too far.

Oh yes, Stranger things is obviously about stranger things. It's just that I like to talk about the life lessons we can learn from a show or a movie whenever I watch one.

Yeah, it hints a lot at the secret government projects in the last century. They sure like to mock us.

Awesome take on a great show! Life will hurt you is a tough pill to swallow.
