What’s the best sandwich you’ve ever had?
That reminds me of school days. We were giving a sent off party to our seniors who were graduating that year. A group of us were told to make sandwiches and were given packets of bread, slabs of butter, cucumber, tomatoes, pepper and salt. As simple as that.
We first sliced the bread into two, buttered on both sides. Then we sliced the cucumber and tomatoes and placed a slice of each. Then we sprinkled powdered black pepper and salt. The sandwich was ready.
Except..
One of my classmates felt we should taste one to see if it was perfect.
We promptly ate one and it was so delicious. Thankfully, the peon came about and saw us and reprimanded us. Otherwise, there wouldn't have been many left for the party.
Up to this day, I have not come across a sandwich that tasted so good. Probably it was because we all enjoyed it among friends.
