About a park, some ducks and the hunchback Puccini ^_^

At first, happy Sunday to you all! Today, me and my hubby decided to visit a beautiful local park close to an ancient building called Villon Puccini. The park is really wonderful and citizens use to go there to breath fresh air under a lot of old trees and watching the many different kinds of ducks and birds.

Today was a sunny warm day, so we took the opportunity for some nice pics.

Some months ago I talked to you about the history of this park, but maybe some of you don't remember it and so I reapeat it:

started by Giuseppe Puccini, (Puccini was a rich local family here) on a project of Luigi De Cambray Digny, this romantic park was improved by his son Niccolò since the 1824. Niccolò Puccini (he was not a relative of the famous opera composer Giacomo Puccini) was known for his philanthropic and educational activities, especially for the poor family of my city. In the past, he was called "the hunchback Puccini", cause his malformation. He was a very active politician to unite my country (Italy) that during that time was divided in a lot of different countries. 

He died when he was just 53 years old cause his bad health and following his will everything he had in money, buildings and artworks went to a Foundation created  to help kids in need.

This park was donated to the city and thanks to the puccini's funds it's really always well curated and full of wonderful ducks, as Puccini wanted.
