From Argentina to Italy: the Patricia Ratto's book signing

Some days ago I was in my favorite local booksop for a very interesting book signing: the argentinian writer Patricia Ratto was there to introduce her book "Trasfondo"!

Thanks to the argentinian embassy in Italy she was ding a tour in Italy to talk about her book and so, she was in my city too ! 

It was really an interesting book signing because she was with another argentinian writer who live in Italy (Adrian Bravi) and so , at the start, she talked in spanish and the other writer translated in italian, but just after few minutes all people said that translation was not necessary because we could understand her language (yes, italian and spanish languages are very similar ^_^).

The book talk about the experiences of a submarine crew during the fast war of Malvinas (here in Europe is best known as Falkland's war),  all the story is about that submarine, about the life of the crew during some days in the deep sea, about the silence, about the waiting.

Patricia started to work on this book after she heard a member of that crew talk about that submarine. She was so intrigued by that experience that people (they were very young guys) did in the deep sea closed in a submarine with many issues. Before to start to write the story, she interviewed some people of that submarine and she also was in a real submarine for a bit, just to feel the sensation to be there. 

She said during the Malvinas war the argentinian government did not talk about real event and there were any journalists to tell the real facts. The crew of that submarine, like many other people, could know what happens just thanks to Uruguay's media or others.

It was really an interesting book signing and I was very happy to meet Patricia!
