Some hours in Florence (Italy) and a very special taxi ^_^
This morning we decided to go to Florence to buy some new sketchbooks. Sure, we could buy the sketchbook also in the local shops in my city (Pistoia), but every reason is a good reason to go to Florence ^_^
We are very lucky, because we can go to Florence by train just in 40 minutes! I love to use the train to go there because so I don't have problem with the parking and here there are many trains to Florence ^_^
When we arrived at the train station in Florence (Santa Maria Novella) we watched one of the best "thing" that you can meet there: the taxi of aunt Caterina!
It's really a special taxi, as you can see in the pic, full of colored flowers and happy images painted on the car. Inside the taxi there are many dolls and puppets and also the driver is a special driver, because Caterina (the driver) always wear strange hats and colorful dresses. She's a special woman full of energy!
The story of this taxi and her driver is very touching. Caterina lost her better half cause cancer, he was a taxi driver and before he died he gave to her the taxy asking to her to become the driver of that taxi (Milano 25). Caterina was really strong and started a new life as taxi driver becoming also a special taxi for the children who have to go to the Meyer Institute, a children hospital in Florence. The taxi for those children is free and she always says that those children are really heroes.
In her taxi there is also an umbrella, that represent the ability to fly over the fear. She's really a beautiful person with a great heart and her taxi is really famous here. So, if you'll visit Florence and you'll see a strange taxi like this, you'll know what it is ^_^
We bought a lot of things in a sop that I love: Tiger! There are many coloful things like sketchbooks, toys, shopping bags, pens and pencils and it's not expensive, so I go there everytime I can . Today I bought something in the theme of tropical birds ( I need to have some touche of colors ^_^) and my hubby @paolobeneforti bought a lot of different sketchbooks, so we were both happy!
Well, it's time to wear my pajama and to rest on the sofa ^_^

Of course, you're just making a silly excuse for buying a sketch book to go to Florence. I love traveling and most of it, it's a very useful way for refreshing and making renewable ambition

Avevo sentito la sua storia anni fa, tra l'altro all'inizio era stata anche "ostacolata" dagli altri taxisti che non vedevano di buon occhio una collega donna, ma adesso è diventata una vera icona ^_^
