Politics of Warming, Increasingly Chaotic State Situations
Ahead of the 2019 Presidential Election, the temperature of national politics is increasingly heating up. The community has been split into two camps, the stronghold of supporters of Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin and the supporters of Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno.
Former TNI Commander, Gatot Nurmantyo stressed that if the situation had occurred since 20 May 2014 or before the 2014 presidential election coincided with National Awakening Day (Harkitnas).
Gatot expressed his concern about the condition of the Indonesian people which he said began to be fragmented. He considered that the Indonesian people had been divided since May 20, 2014. And this condition had not been recovered until now. Gatot likens, the condition of the Indonesian people is like a 'yellow light'.
This is my concern, the people are divided since May 20, 2014 to date. At present the people are being divided up. This is a yellow light and has begun to use the people complaining with the people. I am worried that events in Syria can occur in our country.
There are so many series of incidents of political conflict from both sides, both Jokowi's and Prabowo's camps. In fact, after the 2014 presidential election until now various issues continue to be 'fried', starting from economic, social and religious issues.
The public is very easy to see the track record of these events from cyberspace (internet), because these issues have been viral in the community, especially netizens.
Unfortunately, the Jokowi government was not good in responding to the problems that arose. All people's criticism of the government is considered a threat to government. It might even be considered a threat of power.
Even though the government should be fair to everything that happens in the midst of the people. Even if it concerns the power that is targeted, or the language is generally a political movement.
