When God Calls, Don't Put Him on Hold

Ref. Isaiah 55:8-9, 1Samuel 15:22-24, John 14:16, 1Samuel 3: 7-11

I’m of the mindset that disciples of Jesus Christ can never miss God. We just can’t. It’s impossible.

We can IGNORE God; but, we can’t outright miss Him.

This is because God will give you peace in the process if you are in alignment with Him.

Likewise, He will give you an assured and unrelenting unrest if you’re missing the mark.

Lots of times we hear God, but put what He speaks for us to do on the backburner for a more
convenient time.

Take my word for it; but, God does not operate like that. He does not tick to our tock; that is, when we want to do a thing.

When God gives a knowing to do this or that; do it in the timeframe He sets; for the anointing rests in this span of time.

Too often, God has spoken a word for me to act, and I delayed in the timing. Later, when I went to do the thing, it was flat and the purpose did not bear fruit.

Now, was God pleased that I obeyed? I’ll say He was glad that I obeyed; but, in my not following His Plan, His Timeframe, I did not fulfill the purpose He had in mind; thus, no. The opposite of obedience is disobedience.

In cases such as this, God wants things done in a certain time frame; and will simply choose a willing vessel to receive the blessing intended.

Long story short; God will make it very clear when you are to do; or not do, a certain thing. He will stay with you in Spirit as long as you are sincere about fulfilling His Call.

But know, that with God timing is important.

While we can’t ever genuinely miss God; we can miss His Best for us in significant life matters when we fail to obey His Call, when He Calls.

Remember, His Times are not our times; and His Ways far higher than our own.

When God makes Himself known in your life; be as Samuel, "Speak LORD your servant is listening."
