According to the dictionary, Talent is a natural endowment of a person. It is an extra ability or natural capacity that we have, which may range from our creativity to our athletic abilities to other forms of innate abilities. It could be worked upon to perfection, and it usually seems so easy and natural to do.

Everyone in the world has a talent, no man is an island. One of the challenges we face in life is due to the un-discovery of our talents on time.

Talents help in whatever we do, including our chosen field of business or career. Somehow, it is all connected. However, many people make the wrong career choices or go into the wrong business because they fail to discover, grow and nurture these talents. Here are some quick guides to help discover your talent.

Ways to discover your talent.

Since talent is a hidden gift from nature in us, we can discover this from our everyday life, the friends we keep, the things we love to do, the places we love to visit etc. All these are ways of knowing there's talent inside of you, so how do you dig up the hidden treasure?

1. Ask your friends-

I don't know if this is true, but they said your friends know you better than yourself. Sounds weird but it might be true. Some traits in you that could be your talent can be seen by your friends and the people you move around with. They are the best people to tell you what you are really good at doing.

2. Be openminded-

This is very crucial when discovering your talent since you don't have an idea of what the big picture is like, It's of advantage that we open our mind to everything around us because the inspiration could come from anywhere.

3.Look back on your past-

Now, this gonna be difficult too, because a lot us have come across many quotes telling us to forget our past and look forward to what the future holds. But if you truly want to discover your talent you need to look at your past reflecting on the past, it could be a challenge and how you eventually tackled such challenge could be a newly found talent. Most people have the talent of counseling others in times of trouble.

4. Think about what you enjoy doing -

One of the best ways to discover your talents are from the things you love doing, your daily routine. It could be reading a book, or writing an article or making light paper craft work. Ask yourself these questions... do people really compliment you when you do these things? Or do u get applauded by friends and family members or are you always been called whenever situations like that arise? ?if yes, that that may be another hint of some of your hidden talents.

5. Evaluate yourself -

Now, this is the last point where you discover what's really your talent. After evaluating yourself, the things that look and seems easy to you when doing them is your talent, if you are talented in writing, you could spend the whole day writing without taking lunch or dinner, now that's when you truly know you've discovered your talent!

I've never attempted to draw before, although i've been using my Samsung galaxy note to paint portraits via the SNOTE drawing app, yesterday, I attempted the unattemptable and it was great! I was asked to making a hand sketch of this picture.

That's it! The original picture with the one I drew side by side. It took me roughly 3 hours to come up with something looking similar to the real picture, even if it's not exactly the same because I used a pen instead of a charcoal pencil. But at the end of the whole drawing, a lot of people complimented my effort in my drawing.

I've been painting but this is my first time drawing, and I think i'm happy with the newly discovered talent. I will work more towards improving it.

One beautiful thing about talents is that it remains with you throughout life, and it can only get better, those painting works were my second attempt at painting and somehow, I tried. I'm not saying I got it perfectly but I tried.
