Darkness is your candle. '' -Rumi

Happy Wednesday guys!
I hope this post finds each of you having a wonderful day!✪💜

Today’s title comes straight from Rumi’s wisdom, and gosh was I obsessed when I stumbled upon his quote ''These Pains You Feel Are Messengers. Listen To Them. ''
How true does this ring to you?

We’ve all been there, right.
When something hurts so much that it’s the only thing we feel in every inch of our body, we try to find ways to minimize the magnitude of the loss.
But it’s an approach that backfires.
I even remember once writing down a list of reasons to remind myself that I shouldn’t feel more pain or suffering because of ______ reasons.
When the pain was getting too intense, I’d go back to my list to remind myself that I shouldn’t be feeling such pain.
Well this time around, it’s not the way by which I decided to proceed.
I no longer wanted to fight the pain.
The only solution I knew would be beneficial to me was to accept it.
Because acceptance is the key to so many things in life.
It’s a common myth to think that accepting difficult emotions, means giving up or being passive.
It’s really not.
If anything, accepting your pain is probably the healthiest way to make it heal ''faster'' in a way.
And also, it will greatly enhance your emotional and psychological well-being.
It is all too well known that repulsing the pain only adds extra layers of suffering.

Sometimes… life is about finding the right balance between holding on and letting go.

Three summers ago, I was breaking up with one of my boyfriends.
It happened quickly, in a bad setting, and I remember the lines said by my taxi driver:
''I promise you, in 4 years, it won’t hurt anymore. ''
Well he was completely right.
Actually, the best part about it is that this person ended up being the brother I never had, and to this date, he's literally like family to me.
Not something that happens often with exes, but in moments like these, I remind myself that I really do believe in fate!

With each day that goes by, the pain transforms itself.
Our focus on the suffering starts to take a place smaller than the one it took yesterday.
Our attention drifts from time to time to the other things that happen during our day.
And if these pains are our messengers, maybe we should keep in mind that they will be there to teach us the lesson we need to learn at this time being.
To assist us in this difficult process.
Maybe we should listen.
Maybe we should take each breath with a bit more gratitude, and remind ourselves that we are still here.
Braver than ever, and still here. ✩

A valid statement "Healing hurts, loving hurts and both will be your greatest teacher." I have been there and i totally agreed with it. Nice post
