Fantasy Realm

We love a good fairy tale, don’t we?
We love a good fiction movie, don’t we?
We love a good tv show, don’t we?
We love a good getaway. (you already know what it is, don’t you?)
See? Even the word getaway says it all: get away from Reality. Is this a sign or a mere coincidence???
We all love a good escape. Until we become caught up in our escape. And then we find ourselves unable to escape from what was initially meant to provide us an escape from the real world. Ahhh, so complex, isn’t?

The human mind is the thing that fascinates me the most in this adventure of life.
We love to think highly of this badass called the human mind, but oh boy does it make us do silly things at times.
There’s so many incredible things I could say about the human mind… But recently I’ve been getting the itch to start lucid dreaming and it reminded me of how awesome it is that we have the capacity to dream, as humans. It’s crazy to think that our mind just never shuts off. It follows us even asleep. Even so that sometimes we wake up (I’m sure you’ve been there 😉 ) and we end up feeling extra mad that this dream was only that – a dream.

But see, that’s often what new beginnings feels like.
(dreams coming to reality 😉 or perhaps reality being better than our dreams 😉 )
The first 2 years of a romantic relationship (when dopamine and norepinephrine are kicking in full force)
When you buy something new
When you experience a positive change in your life
When you go on a vacation or the high after you come back from one
You-Name-It-Honey

And then, before you know it, your "new"- not so new reality becomes less exciting. It falls back in the category where all other things in life are meant to fall back in – the spectrum of normality. And who says normal, says what? (I want you hear you scream it- B-O-R-I-N-G!!!!) That’s a joke btw. Because if you know me a little by now you know that I don’t believe in boredom 😉

So then you find yourself a bit like the kid who tries to catch butterflies with the giant tigny (that I have no clue how it’s called – my apologies) – But ya, if you’ve ever tried catching butterflies with this thing as a kid, you know how hard ( and slightly impossible) it is.
In other words, reality just doesn’t measure up to fantasy. (Upon writing this, I kinda felt like this describes perfectly the world of porn)

So then, here you are, like the little butterfly chasing kid, on this perpetual quest to "find something" that is exciting enough at least to give you a couple of butterflies inside your stomach, you know what I’m sayin? Who doesn’t love that feeling, eh? Well, old Sabrina would raise her hand very high as I once used to live for those… For all I know, these butterflies were doing backflips in my tummy as they were having a heck of a good time.
Until when… they just decided the party was over…
